  • Review Toshiba Satellite A505-S6973

The Toshiba Satellite A505-S6973 is a 16-inch laptop that is powered by the Intel Core 2 Duo T6500 processor 2.1GHz. It comes with 4GB of RAM (that can be upgraded to 8GB) and a 500GB hard drive and runs on Windows Vista Home premium version. The connectivity, it come with wi-fi ready (802.11a/b/g/n), 4 USB ports, a 5-in-1 memory card reader, a HDMI output, a microphone jack and several other standard connectors.

The Toshiba Satellite A505-S6973 weighs at 6.5 pounds and measures at 15.1x10.2x1.61 inches. It has a very stylish look, complete with a high-gloss black onyx finish (I tested the black one). It has a very sophisticated and expensive overall look. Like many 16-inch laptops, it comes with a full keyboard complete with a number pad. Below the touch pad are two huge click buttons that makes that touch pad really easy to use.

It has a 16:9 ratio and 1266 x 768 in resolution. The screen also has an anti- glare feature so there will be no problems viewing even in bright ambient lighting. The powerful Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X5400MHD.

  • Samsung LN55A950

Samsung LN55A950The Samsung LN55A950 TV is amazing. The picture is near perfect and it has the darkest blacks I have ever seen on any television. I watched The Dark Knight on Blu Ray and I was blown away by the performance of Samsung LN55A950 TV compared to my old Sony LCD. One of the main complaints I have is the 120hz feature. Thankfully you can turn it off. It makes everything look fake and ruins the viewing experience. After the first couple of minutes of The Dark Knight I had no choice but to turn the feature off.

  • The Harley of Vaccums at half the price of a Roller!

The last time I purchased Numatic Henry NRV200-22 Commercial Vacuum Cleaner I used it for a couple of years and then sold it to my farther because I was moving home. After a long moving process I finally settled in and over the next few years I purchased many hoovers. Most seem to last a couple of years max. Then I remembered Henry...

Standing at a couple of feet in height this modern marvel is in my opinion is undersold. This baby will not only clean your carpet but will be excellent on hard floors also. Its a little hard to push on carpets and you will have to work as hard as the machine for the result but you do actually get the result you want. If you hand wash a car then you use a cloth to buff the wax you woul not expect to get a shine by simply lighty rubbing would you? The same with Henry..it will take work to get the results, buy where this cleaner differes from many others is that the results are almost constantly guaranteed. And yes the machine comes with a guarantee and a few bags to get you started. They even have a bag fitted in the machine for when you get it home. And as for setting up I did mine in a few minuets with no need for a screw driver.

So why Henrey? Well one very good reason is that as I work in schools I noticed the majority of care takers use them. Now anyone who lives in the uk will know that schools here have a tight budget and no self repecting caretaker would ever consider buying a product that was going to break in a couple of years after purchase. The henry is prehaps the manistay of cleaners/ care takers across the uk. Not all but many will vouch for this.

A long cord, a suction from hell and we have Henry.

The only thing I would say is that the elderly may find it hard to use owing to the push power needed across carpeted floor.

  • using Imperia pasta machine

After reading reviews, decided to choose Imperia Italian Double Cutter Pasta Machine SP150 as many said that cheap often breaks. This machine is sturdy and up to the job of rolling pasta dough. I had no probs with the clamp, although I moved the machine to the other side of the table to make it easier to use lefthanded. I am a complete novice and found all the reviews useful. I personally found that:
To stop pasta sticking, always lightly dust dough before putting it through the rollers. This stops it sticking and breaking. I rolled out all the sheets and let them dry about 15mins before cutting them with the tagliatelle cutters. I also cut each sheet in half to make them easier to feed through. To clean, I brush it with a fat brush (like a pastry brush or child's paintbrush)to get the flour off and then just wipe with a damp cloth. Don't over cook the pasta or it goes slimy! Hope this is useful
